Cover Quest: Andrey Derzhavin
After longing for a restoration plan for a home studio set-up and trying to successfully prioritise which pieces of software or hardware I need, and which upgrades I should pursue the acquisition of, I have decided to focus on Reason right now more than my usual preference for Cubase above every other DAW.
When the time comes, I should have added three VST instruments that are an absolute must to own. The best version of Steinberg HALion is a powerful virtual instrument. The newest version of Native Instruments Massive, 'Massive X', is what I need to get up to date on the best popular digital soft synth.
These days, I would not be 100% satisfied with ultra HD mixdowns without the full version of Steinberg Groove Agent 5. The last time I checked, I noticed that this product comes with around 30 GB of drum material, and the most important feature, that I really need is the 24-bit resolution. I need true 24-bit drums in my ultra HD masters.
I'm pursuing two effect plugins. I have a general interest in iZotope VocalSynth. iZotope is by Native Instruments. I also would like to begin using Antares Auto-Tune after only ever having used VariAudio in Cubase Pro before now.
Finally, I would be with a great sense of satisfaction with my home studio set-up if I could purchase and own Native Instruments Guitar Rig Pro, the greatest gutar plug-in suite and standalone guitar software.
Prior to acquiring any of this, I have started my first new serious reason project in a long long time. This track by Andrey Derzhavin prompts me to recreate a close sounding version of it of my own. So that it will sound excellent, the project must include the full version of HALion, and Massive X.
I have commenced the music production with a minimal studio set-up and will retain the production project to be worked on much later with the acquisition of new plugins for Reason.
