My Quest at 16 Years Old: The DJJ Network
Who remembers Moonfruit? Back in the early 2000s, that platform was a beacon for budding creators who wanted to build something unique but lacked advanced technical skills. I was just 16, overflowing with adventurous ideas, and filled with the kind of ambition that often comes with youth. Inspired by my deep love for music and the digital world, I dreamed of starting my own online music maker's network—a space where artists could collaborate, share ideas, and produce their work. While I may not have had the technical expertise to bring my grand vision to life, I did manage to create a modest little website using Moonfruit’s intuitive tools, which felt like a significant achievement at the time.
Reflecting on that experience now, I can’t help but smile. It’s amusing to think about how far technology has come since then. I have this vivid memory of creating an image in Microsoft Word more than twenty years ago as part of that project; back then, graphic design tools were not as accessible or user-friendly as they are today. I remember spending hours experimenting with text and shapes, each small success fueling my excitement to push the creative boundaries of my little corner of the internet. Although the website never became the music community I envisioned, the experience was invaluable, teaching me lessons in perseverance and creativity that I still carry with me today.
